You ask the questions
Article Abstract:
Broadcaster Melvyn Bragg feels that he has taken up a seat in the House of Lords in order to change this institution, which he find himself unable to justify. He sometimes regrets not having devoted himself entirely to writing, but was not earning enough as a writer until his mid-40s, when he was already involved in arts editing. He does not feel guilty about being a wealthy socialist, as he supported the Labour party when he had no money at all.
