When is a plum a gage?
Article Abstract:
Plum and gage trees give the best crop when they are grown in a climate which has hot summers, hard winters and a late, short spring. They require shelter from the wind, and must be protected from late frosts. The best fruit is produced on fan-trained trees planted against a south-facing wall. Some are not self-fertile, and must therefore be grown next to another gage or plum tree.
