Hovering on the brink
Article Abstract:
The hovercraft, which was introduced on the cross-Channel route in the 1960s, remains the fastest method of crossing the Channel. However, there have been a number of technical difficulties with the various hovercraft that have been used on the cross-Channel route, and the future of hovercraft services seems uncertain. Hovercraft services are currently very cheap, as they are being subsidized by the many people who travel to France to purchase duty-free alcohol and cigarettes. When duty-free shopping is abolished, hovercraft services may prove to be no longer viable.

48 hours in the life of ... Barcelona
Article Abstract:
It is particularly worth visiting the city of Barcelona, Spain, in autumn, when the climate is still attractive but most of the tourists have left. The Hostal Galerias Malda offers the best value for money among hotels in the city centre. The city has a rich cultural heritage, and there are many museums and art galleries to visit. The most interesting is the Picasso Museum at Montcada 15. There are also many attractive shops, cafes and restaurants.
