Assessing the efficacy of lime amendment to geochemically stabilize mine tailings
Article Abstract:
Researchers from GEOMEGA in Colorado demonstrated the efficacy of lime amendment in controlling the generation of acids in mine tailings deposits at the Clark Fork River and Silver Bow Creek using electron micropobe analysis, geochemical modelling and pore water chemistry.
