A cancer epidemic?
Article Abstract:
Much of the widespread fear of cancer is due to ignorance and misunderstanding of the diseases which is reflected in the current regulatory and environmental policies. People need to be educated about the disease, its prevalence, causes and the science of testing. A proper standard must be developed for determining carcinogenicity that is based on current scientific knowledge of the biology of cancer, epidemiology, and tests methods.

The most important contribution of animal studies has been in the prevention of diseases.
