A study of beta processing of Ti-6Al-4V: is it trivial?
Article Abstract:
A comparison is made between the studies on the hot deformation behavior of beta and those on the alpha-beta deformation to understand the beta deformation characteristics in Ti-6Al-4V. The results of this investigation indicate that a study of beta deformation mechanisms is important and cannot be ignored, as it is a key to the beta processing of Ti-6Al-4V.
