Use of UV spectroscopy to characterize the reaction between NOM and free chlorine
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the Tamkang University, Taiwan and the University of Washington studied the response of natural organic matter to chlorine and ultraviolet and offers insight into the formation of disinfection byproduct precursors and its stoichiometry. Experiments were conducted at the Judy Reservoir, Mt. Vernon, WA.
