Airborne concentrations and dry deposition fluxes of particulate species to surrogate surfaces deployed in southern Lake Michigan
Article Abstract:
Dry deposition flux measurements to surrogate surfaces and airborne concentration measurements were performed to determine atmospheric inputs of pollutants to the Lake Michigan. Samples gathered in the summer reveal that the majority of the dry deposition mass flux consisted of low airborne concentrations of particles with diameters >8 micronm. The phenomenon, however, does not occur in January when particles with physical diameters of 4-8 micronm dominate both the airborne concentration and the flux.

Deliquescence and Hygroscopic Growth of Mixed Inorganic-Organic Atmospheric Aerosol
Article Abstract:
This study examines aerosol mixtures through deliquescence and hygroscopic growth measurments. The study concludes that varying results occur for four internally-mixed aerosol mixtures.
