Antarctic meltdown: polar vision: two scientific camps disagree on how quickly the southern ice cap could melt

The discovery of 3-million-year-old fossils in Antarctica has convinced one group of scientists that the southern ice cap could melt again, raising the world's ocean level. Another group retains the accepted believe that the ice cap has been stable for 10 to 15 million years, and will remain so.
