Antibiotics that resist resistance
Article Abstract:
Drug-resistant bacterial diseases caught the pharmaceutical industry off guard, but new drugs being developed to counteract resistance show promise. Antibiotics research had stalled when most diseases seemed to be under control. The new drugs will not be ready for market before the year 2000.
