Leading infectious-disease experts dispute forecasts that global warming will cause world-wide epidemics. There has been little research to support the predictions. The Centers for Disease Control and National Research Council are forming a panel to discuss the controversy.

Article Abstract:
Researchers are working on numerous vaccines that use a gene from a pathogen stitched into a plasmid to stimulate the immune response. However, the technology is in its early stages, and no DNA vaccines have succeeded in clinical trials.
