Beyond lawns: Fresh alternatives to conventional grass
Article Abstract:
An insight into the vegetative change replacing lawns with woodland gardens, native wildwood gardens and ground covers according to the home gardener's desire is presented. The factors to be considered before planning a change such as light conditions, soil depth, soil pH and real climatic zone values are discussed as well as guidelines for proceeding with the alternatives is provided.
