California technology certification a national model?
Article Abstract:
California law AB 2060, which took effect in Jan. 1994 and was implemented four months later, created a certification program for advanced environmental technologies. The program has already certified eight environmental technologies, including an electric mobile oil refiner that extends motor oil life indefinitely, immunoassay tests and a containment piping system for hazardous wastes. It is being considered as a model for a federal certification program for environmental technologies.
