Appropriability of product innovations: an empirical analysis for Germany
Article Abstract:
The perceived effectiveness of patents and other means of appropriation for protecting the competitive advantages of new products are analyzed. By means of logistic regression, the cluster that is identified is characterised and an attempt is made to find by what factors the perceived effectiveness of patents as a method of appropriation is moderated.

Article Abstract:
Most companies do not take a customer's perspective when they undertake new product development (NPD). A study revealed that assessment reports from both the suppliers and the customers are important for several critical success factors.
