Bugs in the data? The controversy over Martian life is just beginning
Article Abstract:
Reports of life on Mars are not unprecedented. Similar reports were made in 1961 but were later dismissed when the identified microorganisms turned out to be ragweed pollen and furnace ash. Meteorite ALH84001 seems to contain magnetite and iron sulfide crystals, similar to those manufactured by bacteria.

Endangered
Article Abstract:
Scientists agree that the potato-shaped meteorite recovered from Mars, which was reported to contain microscopic fossils, does not adequately signify that life, indeed exists in the planet. Structures found within the voids of the meteorite may have evolved from chemical and biological reactions.
