Former UK Central London Training and Enterprise Council Gwynneth Flower has been selected by Dept of Trade and Industry to head the Action 2000 project aimed at ensuring that businesses are aware of and are addressing the year 2000 problem. She says that her efforts will include hiring staff for the project, developing a business plan and encouraging businesses to adopt an attitude of controlled anxiety in place of panic or complacency.

Year 2000 problem expert Robin Guenier believes that it is already too late for companies to devise solutions for all their systems.
