Article Abstract:
The impact of television's popular forensics programs such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation which is felt by the attorneys, investigators and educators to provide unreasonable levels of physical evidence in trails demanded by jurors is debated. A report by National Institute of Justice to Congress recommended that the federal government sponsor research to validate forensic science disciplines, addressing basic principles, error rates and standards of procedure.

Article Abstract:
The impact of the stem cell research scandal concerning Woo Suk Hwang of Seoul National University on the future embryonic stem cell research is discussed. The stem cell scandal has also put Gerald Schatten from the University of Pittsburgh on the scanner as he was Woo Suk Hwang's US collaborator on the experiments in 2005.
