Cadmium adsorption on aluminum oxide in the presence of polyacrylic acid
Article Abstract:
Poly(acrilic acid), or PAA, is used to examine the dynamics of natural biogeopolymers in relation to the distribution and mobility of cadmium. A surface complexation model measures the adsorption of cadmium by PAA in an aqueous environment. Graphs show the adsorption and speciation of cadmium at varying pH levels.

Fate and origin of 1,2-dichloropropane in an unconfined shallow aquifier
Article Abstract:
This study was undertaken to determine the occurrence, fate and origin of 1,2-dichloropropane in water samples from a shallow aquifer that has different redox zones with an overlay of intensive agricultural activity. The study was conducted by the U.S. Geological Survey, the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology and Environment Canada.
