Calculating immunity
Article Abstract:
Research done by Juergen Hammer and his associates with the protein HLA-DR show that it is possible to predict novel immune-antigen interactions even if the number of experiments involved are numerous. Ten thousand binding tests were done in generating a statistical model of HLA-DR binding.

Blood money: critics question high pharmaceutical profits

The pharmaceutical industry claims that health-care reform will reduce revenues, leading to less R&D and the development of fewer drugs. Sen David Pryor believes that research will not be affected much because more revenues are allocated to advertising and sales than to R&D.
