Catching the wave of a new accelerator
Article Abstract:
Experiments at UCLA on plasma waves may result in a generation of smaller accelerators, such as the one used at the Superconducting Super Collider. Using fields generated by shooting two laser beams tune to different frequencies at hydrogen gas, plasma is created.
