Colorful pebbles and Darwin's dictum
Article Abstract:
Charles Darwin wrote in 1861 response to talk that geologists should only observe and not theorize that if that was true then one could just to into a gravel-pit and count the pebbles and describe the colors. An analysis of how scientific facts must be interpreted is presented.
