Article Abstract:
The authors offer a variety of perspectives on the impact of technology, specifically the Internet, on the lives and cultures of indigenous peoples. While some support a cautious approach to prevent technology from dominating established social patterns, they generally agree that the Internet will be helpful, rather than harmful, as it would provide a means of obtaining information and, by extension, power.
