Power utilities require effective Management of Technology (MOT), which integrates multiple inputs into a holistic output, to achieve goals. The consideration of multiplicity of factors and detailed information are called for in MOT decision making. MOT, which can be facilitated by the adoption of specific organizational characteristics and systems, should be integrated with the standard management practices of any technology based organization.
