Pyrogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in oil burn residues
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the U.S. and Norway simulated the burning of oil spills at sea using Statfjord oil, a North Sea parafinnic crude, and discovered that the action can release toxic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon residues.

Investigation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in fly ash from fluidized bed combustion systems
Article Abstract:
Researchers from Western Kentucky University investigated for the presence of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in fly and bed ash from fluidized bed combustion systems and discovered that higher levels of PAHs are found in fly ash than in raw coal or in gas phase.
