Medical experts at the Jefferson Medical College are pursuing new ways to detect fetal Down syndrome as early as 10 weeks of the conception period, without the risks of amniocentesis. The technique involves an extensive diagnosis of three vital protein levels, including beta-cCG and estriol.

Satellite radar interferometry
Article Abstract:
Subtle movements of crustal plates or other earth surface features can be detected and measured using satellite radar interferometry. By taking note of phase differences of sent signals, movements as small as millimeters can be calculated.
