Early events in olfactory processing
Article Abstract:
The early events found in olfactory processing are examined by focusing on the neural code for odors in olfactory receptor neurons (ORNs) and the ways in which this code is transformed as it moves through the olfactory bulb (OB) toward higher brain centers. The analysis has revealed a precise molecular patterning of receptor neuron projections and has also provided a conceptual handle on a system that is described as 'utter chaos'.

Deep brain stimulation
Article Abstract:
The history of the development of deep brain simulation (DBS) as a therapeutic tool is reviewed. DBS is found to have the potential to provide a wide range of benefits for various neurological conditions, such as Parkinson disease (PD), dystonia, and bradykinesia and gait difficulties.

Information processing in the primate retina: circuitry and coding
Article Abstract:
The functions of retinal neurons is analyzed by encoding, decoding the visual signals and by models of neural code. It is seen that the central circuits of the brain can read the retinal signals.
