Early musical impressions from both sides of the loudspeaker
Article Abstract:
The metaphoric image created by loudspeakers and the ruptures caused by them from the listener and the conveyers' side is analyzed. Theories are presented to illustrate the effect of new media on the musical imagination and listening in general.

The use of cracked and manipulated CD in some of the works of Yasunao Tone, Nicholas Collins and Oval are presented. The different approaches and the role of the CD in sound expansion are highlighted.
