Effect of emissions control on the long-term frequency distribution of regional ozone concentrations
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the California Institute of Technology used a photochemical airshed model to measure the frequency of exceedence of ozone concentration standards set by the U.S. federal government in the Los Angeles area and how the area will respond to greater emission control.

Fate and transport of hexavalent chromium in undisturbed heterogeneous soil
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Stanford University investigated the impact of hydrologic and geochemical processes in the transport of toxic metals, e.g. hexavalent chromium, in undisturbed soil core samples collected from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
