Persistence of parent compounds and transformation products in a level IV multimedia model
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology presented a method to calculate the persistence of parent compounds such as methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) and atrazine and its byproducts tert-butyl alcohol and desisopropyl atrazine (DIA).

Hydrophobic hollow fiber membranes for treating MTBE-contaminated water
Article Abstract:
Hydrophobic hollow fiber membranes (HFM) are already in use in industrial and medical applications. The goal of this study concentrated on examining the usefulness of HFM in water treatment situations, especially the presence of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), which is frequently present at contaminated sites.
