Article Abstract:
Thunderstorms offer a spectacle of sound and light especially during the night. They consist of 10,000 to 100,000 amperes of electricity travelling at 150,000 km. per second, accompanied by booming thunder. Certain areas in Canada such as central Quebec, northern Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Prairies experience thunderstorms at least 15 days a year.
