Equity investment decisions for technology based ventures
Article Abstract:
Canadian equity investors evaluate the marketability of technology-based companies looking for initial financing by using a total of 95 criteria. These include the characteristics of the investment proposal from the venture to the investor/s; characteristics of the entrepreneur/s; characteristics of the target market of the venture; requirements to be met by the investors; and the characteristics of the proposal venture. The study seeks to understand the effectivity of the said criteria. It has revealed that there is stability when the five categories are used within the three quality investor types which participated in the study.
