Evolution of functional cyclohexadiene-based synthetic reagents: The importance of becoming aromatic
Article Abstract:
Suites of new precursor designed around a cyclohexadiene core were prepared for mediating clean radical chain syntheses. It was observed that functionalized cyclohexa-2.5-dienes readily donated H-atoms and there was rapid extradition of functional group as a free radical by cyclohexadienyl radicals.
