Exploring the Proton Sea
Article Abstract:
Physicists are researching the interior of protons and finding that there are elements that seem to exist for a short period only to disappear again. These particles, quarks which carry charge, and gluon which carry force, are an essential part of the proton and are probably responsible for much of a proton's structure.
