The work would include the dredging of contaminated sediment, the control of storm water, enhancing the shipyard facilities and allowing normal shipyard operations to proceed unimpeded.

Article Abstract:
This article discusses an engineering approach used to empty and clean two water basins extending up to a 90 acre. The strategy involves using the concrete wall dividing the basins as a dam. Any destabilization due to hydrostatic pressure beneath the wall is relieved through dewatering wells.
