Gamma ray source in distant universe?
Article Abstract:
Astronomers may have found the source of a gamma-ray burst, in a distant galaxy. The Italian-Dutch satellite Beppo-SAX located a burst and an x-ray source in the same area. Verification would repute the alternate hypothesis of a local gamma-ray source, but the event that caused such a burst remains a puzzle.

Search narrows for gamma-ray bursts
Article Abstract:
Simultaneous detection of a gamma ray burst by an x-ray and a gamma ray camera on the Beppo-SAX satellite may help astronomers to discover the source of gamma ray bursts. The sighting has narrowed the search to a tiny portion of the sky.
