Article Abstract:
Sequencing research conducted by David C. Page shows that the Y chromosome contains about 80 genes, far more than conventionally believed. Survival of the Y chromosome, previously theorized to become extinct, now instead seems likely as it has been found to donate intact genes to correct defective copies.
