Globalization of R&D
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze challenges and best practices associated with the globalization of research and development. The globalization of R&D correlates with being responsive to the various needs of differing markets, reducing the time between customer and idea, and deploying technologies and products on a worldwide basis. Companies that want to succeed in creating a global R&D organization should develop a clear vision and strategy. Firms should also determine reasons for its globalization efforts.

Technology, innovation and strategy: recent developments
Article Abstract:
The trend with which companies finance their research and development efforts is shown to be guided by the company's marketing activities, especially in how the company projects itself to gain a larger market share. The former model of a company's technology dictating its marketing efforts have been superseded by a new model where marketing dictates the adoption of certain technologies that are perceived to give the company better market position.
