How the parasite gets its food
Article Abstract:
Kasturi Haldar et al found that a chemical called PPMP disrupts the malaria parasite's formation of tubules in the red blood cell and keeps its from importing nutrients. Rather than slowly starving the parasite, they think it can be killed by designing a drug that will get through the blocked pathway.

Galileo gazes at Jupiter and its moons
Article Abstract:
Galileo relayed images of Jupiter and its moon Europa, after an earlier flyby of another moon, Ganymede. Near-infrared measurements of cloud heights suggest thunderstorms on the giant planet. A cracked and refrozen ice cap on Europa may indicate the first known water ocean outside of earth.
