Information technology mediated business process management - lessons from the supply chain
Article Abstract:
More firms face challenges in attempting to integrate their decision making processes because their information technology infrastructure which traditionally supports discrete organizational units such as departments, divisions or groups, each with its own work practices and decision processes. A study of the experiences of firms that employ the supply chain management (SCM) approach such as Xerox Corp will show that SCM can lead to substantial organizational effectiveness without drastically overhauling its information systems.

Corporate and individual competences: how do they match the innovation process?
Article Abstract:
A strong connection was noted in cases where strategic and organizational evolution have emphasized the fact that conventional systems for administering human resources always become obsolete. Also, the possibility of finding competence-based approach is greater in cases where the concept of transformation prevails at the strategic and organizational levels. Such findings support a hypothesis which claims that integrated competence management cannot be excluded in strategic and organizational evolution analysis.
