Integrated plan links L.A. water agencies

The city of Los Angeles, in developing an integrated resources plan has acknowledged the need for increased collaboration on the part of local water agencies. The four Integrated Resources Plan alternatives developed for the 2020 and beyond are being reviewed to assess their environmental ramifications, and they will probably be presented to the city council and the mayor late in 2005 or early in 2006

Water resources: new method for validating UV disinfection systems shows promise
Article Abstract:
Ultraviolet (UV) light is used to for disinfecting drinking water largely. For measuring the performance of UV light and validating UV disinfection systems, a new experimental method has been introduced. The details of the method are presented.
