John Zachary Young
Article Abstract:
John Zachary Young was an influential 20th century biologist who specialized in studying the nervous system of cephalopods. He was educated at Oxford University and later conducted research there on nerve regeneration. He taught medical students at University College London and became famous for his eclectic approach to the study of man. He was a member of the Royal Society and an Honorary Fellow of the British Academy. He died in 1997 at the age of 90.

OBITUARY: A well-known and respected environmental biologist, Colin Stewar, is considered as a tireless defender and promoter of nature. The Canadian Nature Federation (CNF) awarded him the prestigious 2004 Douglas Pimlott Award for his 20-plus years of conservation work.

A lasting legacy: conservation easements can help property owners protect the land they love in perpetuity
Article Abstract:
More Canadians are considering conservation easements where they agree to set aside part of or all of their land to a specific use agreed with a conservation or land group. The agreement is integrated into the land title and set terms in perpetuity.
