Laser mass spectrometric analysis of organic atmosphere aerosols. 1. characterization of emission sources
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology used two-step laser mass spectrometry to demonstrate the speciation of aerosol-bound organic carbon with a 15 min time resolution and identified tracer mass spectral patterns based on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons/compounds. The aerosol particles play a major role in air pollution.
