Thermal desorption mass spectrometric analysis of organic aerosol formed from reactions of 1-tetradecene and O3 in the presence of alcohols and carboxylic acids
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the Air Pollution Research Center, University of California, Riverside, CA investigated the reactions of 1-tetradecene and O3 with alcohols and carboxylic acids and identified a secondary organic aerosol byproduct made up of hydroperoxides and peroxides using thermal desorption mass spectrometry.

Effect of relative humidity on the chemical composition of secondary organic aerosol formed from reactions of 1-tetradecene and O3
Article Abstract:
Researchers from the University of California, Riverside, CA were able to identify hydroperoxides, peroxides, and secondary ozonides as byproducts of the organic aerosol formed from the ozonolysis of 1-tetradecene in humid and dry air using thermal desorption mass spectrometry.
