An overview is presented on the negative impact of ecotourism on animal habitats, using swim-with-dolphin programs as an example. Human interaction with dolphins can be ill-timed, interfering with their ability to watch for predators, or can have lasting effects on dolphin behavior, such as altering their established social patterns and habitat selection choices.
