An Oct 1991 concert at Carnegie Hall featured the introduction of MIDI into the performance. MIDI is the computer language that lets electronic instruments and synthesizers communicate. In this case, an electronic baton and a MIDI piano sent information to a computer for processing.

QMS Inc has become the first company to offer a color laser printer for personal computers. The printer, ColorScript Laser 1000, will sell for $12,499, print 300 dots per inch and produce two pages a minute in the full color mode.
