The Super-Kamiokande experiment aims to understand the nature of neutrinos by using a 13-ft-high cylindrical tank buried 3,000 ft deep in a zinc mine under the Japanese Alps. The experiment succeeded in proving that neutrinos have mass which is equivalent to ten-millionth of the electron's mass.

Sonoluminescence is the generation of light from ultrasonic waves. The light is generated by gas bubbles suspended in water. The particles inside are agitated by sound waves and the gas bubble expands. This reduces the pressure inside and the water pressure outside causes the bubble to implode.

Feathers before flight
Article Abstract:
A description is presented of a 3-foot-long dinosaur, named dromaeosaur, which was covered in feathers but which was adapted for running on two legs. The use of feathers for insulation before their use for flight is discussed.
