Article Abstract:
Issues concerning the use of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) techniques are discussed. Research into the detection of electrical activity in neurons of macaque monkeys demonstrates that fMRI signals are produced during neuronal activity.

New trick from old dog: a magnesium compound is a startling superconductor

Magnesium boride has shown properties that make it an excellent superconducting material, a finding that has surprised researchers. Though conduction occurs at 39 degrees below zero, the compound will serve as an aid to superconductor research.
