Making the millers
Article Abstract:
A skills competition to find the best young CNC miller in UK will be held during the 1999 International Skill Olympics in Montreal. Four finalists aged below 22 years will test their skills against each other for three days under the public's observation. The contestants will work from drawings to program and machine a test piece under strict time limits. The conditions will be implemented to train the winners for the world competition in Canada in 2000. The Engineering and Marine Training Authority and UK Skills are two of the contest's sponsors.
