Article Abstract:
Drs. Tran Van On and Tran Cong Khanh worked on the project to establish a monitoring program for endangered medicinal plants to conserve the valuable tropical forest resources. The project aims to establish a system of 30 sampling plots, each 10-by-50 meters, across a range of elevations and habitats, and collect data on the environment, soils, and the presence and abundance of medicinal plants.

Mountain meadows of the North Cascades
Article Abstract:
The project aims to collect baseline data on butterfly and plant populations to support conservation of montane meadows. Drs. john McLaughlin, Regina Rochefort, mignonne Bivin, Dr. Ralph Riley and his project team will document butterflies and plants under the snow-capped peaks of the North Cascades.

The project aims to compile a comprehensive database of ancient therapeutic practices form rare books and archaeological. Dr. Alain Touwaide and his project team will collect data on ancient medicinal plant uses and plant identification to add to the growing database.
