Mounting concern over brominated flame retardants
Article Abstract:
High levels of brominated flame retardants in European Parliament dust and high-quality sewage sludge in the United States may cause policymakers to ban the use of such products. Penta brominated diphenyl ether has the ability to cause neurodevelopmental and liver toxicity and to cause hormonal imbalances, but researchers do not know yet how the substance gets into humans.
